Assoc. Prof. Arschang Valipour, MD, FERS, is a Specialist in Internal Medicine, Pulmonary Medicine, and Intensive Care Medicine. He is the Head of Department of Respiratory and Critical Care Medicine and the Director of the Karl-Landsteiner-Institute for Lung Research and Pulmonary Oncology at Klinik Floridsdorf, Vienna Healthcare Group in Austria.

Assoc. Prof. Valipour is a Fellow of the European Respiratory Society (FERS), a member of the European Respiratory Society College of Experts and has served as a Secretary to the Sleep and Breathing working group of the ERS. He is the Head of the CME program of the Austrian Society of Pneumology (ASP) and served on the EBAP board of reviewers for several years. He is on the advisory board of the Vienna City Council and works on several working groups in the Ministry of Health.  

His main research interests are COPD, interventional pulmonology, lung cancer, cardiopulmonary interaction, COVID-19, and Sleep Medicine. Assoc. Prof. Valipour has served as Principal Investigator on several clinical trials in the field of pulmonology. He has published several articles in high-ranked journals and served as an Associate Editor to the “Int J of COPD”, “J Clin Med”, “Respiration”, and “Pneumologie”.
