Prof. Hajrija Maksić, MD, PhD, is a professor at the Faculty of Medicine of the University of Sarajevo, an active member of the association of neonatologists in Bosnia and Herzegovina since its foundation, vice president of the association and national representative in UENPS since 2019, and national representative in the European Board of Neonatal & Child Health Research. In 2024, she became the president of the Association of Pediatricians in BIH.

Prof. Maksić organizes numerous scientific meetings, manages continuing education in brain ultrasound at the KCUS pediatric clinic, heads the neonatal resuscitation team, and organizes several scientific meetings in Bosnia and Herzegovina.

Her special field of interest is congenital cytomegalovirus (CMV) infection. She has published over 50 scientific and professional articles in refereed journals and lectures at international and national congresses.
