         bodytext =>protected'<p>The <strong>evaluation process</strong> of the International Medis Awards
             is done by the independent <a href="https://www.medis-awards.com/internatio
            nal-scientific-committee/">International Scientific Committee</a> of <strong
            >ten reputable doctors and pharmacists</strong> from eight countries. They s
            elect nominees, finalists and winners for each research field.</p>
<p>Each 
            committee member is selected based on their extensive expertise and experien
            ce in their respective area of work. To ensure objectivity and incorporate f
            resh scientific insights, the committee members serve limited terms of three
             years and the new committee members for the mandate period 2024–2027 were
             appointed this June.</p>
<p><strong>The evaluation process consists of two
             rounds:</strong></p>
<ol> 	<li><span><span><span>evaluating basic criteria
             and </span></span></span></li> 	<li><span><span><span>panellist evaluation.
            </span></span></span></li> </ol>
<p><br /> In the initial round, the Commit
            tee conducts an assessment to determine if the submitted work aligns with th
            e basic criteria. These criteria encompass several aspects, such as <strong>
            authorship</strong>, including the <strong>number of authors</strong>, the <
            strong>impact factor</strong> of the <strong>publication or journal</strong>
             (IF – Journal Citation Reports database), and a <strong>country pondering
             system</strong>. This pondering system is established by considering variat
            ions in intramural research and development expenditures per researcher acro
            ss different countries during a specified reference period (GERD). The aim i
            s to ensure equitable conditions for researchers from diverse nations.</p>

            <p>Qualified applications advance to the second phase, during which they are
             assessed based on additional criteria. These include <strong>clinical impor
            tance</strong> (an evaluation of potential contribution of the research to d
            iagnosis and treatment), <strong>novelty</strong> (introduction of substanti
